Excellent selection of pastels, papers, easels, pastel storage.  If you haven't landed on just the right paper for your art, Dakota Pastels offers a sampler for a number of different papers AND a sampler for several different pastel boards.   They make a variety of pastel samplers to give you an opportunity to experience the softness, texture and size of the various pastel lines. As they have added more lines of pastels, they decided to split the Samplers into a Soft Sampler and a Medium/Hard Sampler. The dividing line between the two is somewhat arbitrary, allowing them to keep the cost of the samplers down.  They try to vary the colors included, but the set is not designed to be a comprehensive working set.
